National Day of Colombia celebrated in Delhi
The 201st National Day of Colombia was brought in with great verve, in the form of a salsa performance.
The band La Republica played a mix of classical and contemporary Colombian music, and their music and enthusiasm didn’t let anyone rest in their seats. After the performance, the band walked amid the audience, chanting India and Colombia, and were then felicitated by Colombian ambassador Juan Alfredo Pinto Saavedra.
Said Salama Yamini, head, IMC, Indian Music Conference 2011 will be held from November 17-20, with national and international artistes.
